Travelog: Holding Down the Amber Fort with the Monkeys

It's so easy to get lost inside the Amber Fort (pronounced Amer-- the fort is located in the town called Amer, hence Amer "Amber" Fort). The jeep ride up to the fort was not a smooth one. If you were riding with me on the bus and I had said I left my ovaries somewhere in between Delhi and Jaipur, this time I probably dropped my kidneys on the way up to the fort haha. *Oh Lawrdy I've been leaving my organs left and right in India hahaha*

The view on the way up was spectacular as well.

Every single corner and wall of the fort is perfect for photographs :D *Can you tell a lot of us were actually not really paying too much attention to our tour guide? LOL I know I wasn't! I was too busy camwhoring hahaha*

On a serious note, one thing I noticed about the fort were the arches. I was hoping to count all the ones I see, but I lost count at 40!!

Having these women around the fort walls made the visit all the more interesting.

They weren't very friendly though haha :D

It came to a point when I really couldn't resist anymore so I asked to have a photo taken with one of them. So she agreed.

And after this photo was taken, she asked me for money :D.  I think she probably thought I was either a nurse or a surgeon en route to a hospital for my shift. I mean look at me-- if I didn't have that scarf around my neck and hat on my head, I'd look like I was doing double- duty at the hospital :D  (Truth is, I also did not have any money! LOL )

Arches. Right. I was talking about arches. Sorry I strayed :) Here's one of my favorite shots.

A deserted hall in one of the corners of the fort. Quite a haunting sight, isn't it?

Oh if these walls could only talk!  All that history!

 On one of the arches, sat a monkey! :)

 And on another arch, sat yet another monkey, with her baby :) *Awww*

I wonder though, are these monkeys rabid? They're adorable though (from afar :D)
