My version of "Ruby" Slippers! It Glitters!

Oh my. Today is NOT a bag post. It's a SHOE post!!!

I am lusting for these Miu Miu Glitter Peep Toe Ankle Boots, BIG time!!

I always love fancy- looking shoes. Am always on the lookout for "different" looking ones. And though there are times these "fancy" shoes have killed my feet in some way, I continue to want them. After all, I was a shoe girl first before I became a bag hag! Yes, before my bag obsession was formally "born", I loved shoes (the love for shoes just took a backseat after my pregnancies because ugh, my feet grew-- and they never shrunk back to original size). Confession: When I was a little girl, I would always put my brand new shoes next to me in bed :) So there. The shoe lover in me is still alive and kicking.

If I have these booties, I will feel like Dorothy in Wizard of Oz. They'd be my version of "ruby" slippers, even if they're not ruby red in color hahaha-- but oye, gold is GOLD! ;) These awesome glitter booties are available for purchase now at Net-A-Porter (while there are still sizes!! Bag Doppelganger Alert!

I had to do a double take when I saw this bag. I knew that Celine had no online retail presence, and I had not yet seen a crocodile luggage tote. This bag truly made my heart skip a beat for a nanosecond, thinking Celine was finally going to sell bags online. Boo!

Ok so the handles of the Celine luggage are "rolled" as opposed to the flat ones on the Nancy Gonzalez tote. Plus the Celine luggage envelope tote has that hardware clasp. But apart from those two, the structure is the same.

Hmm... I honestly can't help but feel like Monica Botkier (when she saw the Kardashian-for-Sears bag collection).

Feeling Blue. Cobalt Blue

As I type this, I heaved a very big sigh because I'm not the least bit interested in going to the beach in this damp weather. My kids have been looking forward to the beach and though I would love to take them, I felt that it would've all been for naught if they just end up indoors and can't play in the sand and sea because of the nonstop rain. Anyway, I'll blog about where I go tomorrow if it's worth blogging about But over dinner last night, I promised I would take them to Boracay before the year ends. Now that's a real beach! :) 

Hehe... or there's always Amanpulo! *cough* Sponsors accepted haha (shameless!!!)

I'll never forget Amanpulo...

Anyway,  I fell in love with the color blue all over again because of Amanpulo.

P.S. I don't tan at all. I tried here in Amanpulo. Failed miserably. I gained some dark sun spots on my cheek though!

I discovered I love that particular shade of blue on the Amanpulo towel (haha and you thought it was the waters of Amanpulo which I do love too, of course :D). I believe this is cerulean blue. My love for this color prompted me to look for bags in that shade :) And now that we're talking beach again, my love for that blue has resurfaced.

And today while surfing, I found a bag in blue!! :) 

The YSL Cabas Chyc Leather Tote in a striking cobalt blue color. Ok it's not exactly cerulean (pretty far from it I think because cerulean doesn't have a purple undertone),  but still! I love!

Such a striking color sure to liven up any outfit no matter how boring :)

This is such a pretty bag, I am wondering why I didn't even notice it before! There is good structure to this bag so you won't see it limping about after heavy use. It has a classic zip enclosure, with a small belt with the signature brass Y that crosses over the zipper.  You can't go wrong with this bag. Oh but don't take it with you to the beach now even if you will clearly get really nice photos when you carry this bag :)

And boo, I'm still set to go to the beach, even in this crazy weather :( I'd hate for my kids' first beach trip to end up a disappointment to them :( *Sigh oh well!*

Home...

Today's such a gloomy day, and since my whole week has been pretty stressful, I decided to look into my photo archive and work on putting together a slideshow of one of my most memorable vacations to share with you all. Needed a little picker- upper and this was it.

Halfway through compiling photos for the slideshow, I was reduced to tears while listening to Michael Bublé's song (haha so much for a picker- upper!). I know, I'm such a cheesy wuss LOL! I got emotional because looking at the vacation photos reminded me of how much I missed my father, and that I wished he was still with us on this vacation. Incidentally, "Home" was also the very song that played when we were having that wonderful lunch in Sorrento :) So it was a nice walk down memory lane... Haha it's not like the vacation has been a decade, but it's just so nice to remember the best vacation with my mom and siblings on a rainy day like today. How I wish my Dad was with us then...

Oh and in this slideshow, you just might see my favorite nieces too :D

Purple Reveal!

Today is Reveal Day Friday :) Sorry I was not able to post a blog yesterday. For some reason I can't get the photos up-- every time I upload, the photos end up broken. Does anyone who's on blogger have this problem? 

Anyway, without further ado, ta-daaaah :)

I love the purple of the bag!

This is my 2nd Bayswater.  My first one was a patent purple one and though I regretted the purchase (since I was not really into patent), I love the bayswater. When this color came up, I couldn't resist!

Mulberry Bayswater in Purple

The Bayswater is such a worthy purchase! Since I had wanted this color on the Alexa (and wasn't able to get it in the oversized), getting it on the Bayswater is a nice consolation. The bag interior is expandable (it has inner belts which you can loosen), and is not too heavy. I think this will be a great travel bag. I can't wait to use this on my next trip ;)

You ask, again? But why? Ok, here's why-- really, how often do you find premium designer leather bags below US$1,000 these days? This is one such bag. And it's really a worthwhile purchase. Sure, the bag's heavy, but the shape is not something trendy that would go out of style anytime soon. And did I fail to mention in the past that I love the leather? Now the bag's available in this midnight blue shade. It's love!

Put a lotta bling on the bag! Halston Heritage Jenny Fold Clutch

The Glitterati gang is out in full force! It's everywhere for Fall! On shoes, on clothes, and on bags! While I refrained from recommending a big bag with a lotta bling (after all, not everyone can do that much bling-- haha although I would do it), this much bling is just right. Perfect for a night out with friends or for a more formal affair.

Derek Lam Ume Bag

Reminds me of the 80s when bags like this one were still so in fashion. What do you know, they're really back! And I quite like it because it's more feminine (think of all our huge-as-a-house bags). It also makes you a better bag contents editor! And it takes so much discipline to learn how NOT to bring everything with you. I like the stylized ram's horns enclosure and that paneled flap in animal- print ponyhair :)

How very cool are these? I used to have a safety pin bracelet (hahahaha a decades- old one), so this pair of earrings reignited my love for that bracelet. But no I won't wear them together :) I'd love to wear this though!

Kim and Saigon (not Miss Saigon the musical)

I've been watching Keeping with the Kardashians for quite some time now (yes, guilty pleasure). The 2 personalities I love best in the show have to be Khloe and Kardashian momager Kris. Why? Because they are ridiculously FUNNY. Ok I'm a huge Mason fan too and love Kendall just because she is in my opinion, the most beautiful of all sisters (even if she's not a Kardashian). Scott Dissick can be such a meanie, but I think he is the best dressed of all-- I have to hand it to the man for knowing how to dress, so I do like seeing his little swagger here and there. Not too much though, I get Scott overload easily haha.

Now, Kim Kardashian married Kris Humphries over the weekend and while we are all left without much to watch until the wedding special comes on (Kris, I have to say, is an excellent momager, she knows how to make the big bucks for the family, really), there are snippets and photos of the wedding. I have to say style-wise, it was nothing to write home about. So I'll skip the commentary on who wore what and what I liked/ disliked.

Kim is off to a quick honeymoon with her husband, and that's why I'm writing about her now :)

And for her honeymoon trip, she brought along her Goyard Saigon!

Earlier on (I remember writing about this bag), I was not really that big a fan of the bag because it was heavy (more than anything else). I did however, appreciate the fact that real wood was incorporated into the bag. The wooden handle can be a bit of a pain to carry after awhile (especially if you packed your house into that bag), but if the bag were set down on a table to be appreciated, I think you will find that the bag is structurally very well made. It makes me think that an engineer actually designed this bag :) 

The Goyard Saigon

I think it would make a nice alternative to a Hermes Kelly, although don't expect this bag to be as soft or even "foldable" :) This girl's pretty bulky to pack!
