PFW: Elie Saab SS 2012 's "Color Shock"

The colors on Elie Saab's Spring/ Summer 2012 collection did not initially shock color- wise, but as the show progressed, so did the reveal of bold and impacting colors. Here's a quick review of some pieces from his collection.

Pretty impressed with the way he fused lace into short dresses like this one. Elie Saab's forte has always been in evening wear-- particularly in gowns *think couture-- his pieces are really beautiful and especially perfect for the celluloid stars on awards nights*

The Elie Saab woman is strong and assertive. Powerful and sexy.

And then came the beautiful belted gowns in jewel tones!

Aside from the bow and the belt that cinches the waist, this is a fairly simple gown. But the execution is flawless. The gown is not "heavy" and it flows so beautifully. Very ethereal.

Striking green lace gown. Note the cut. It's all in the construction for Elie Saab. He is very well- known for this.

And my favorite, paillettes in tanzanite!
Anja Rubik totally rocked this gown!! I love it on her!
I can already see this gown on the red carpet! Elie Saab has never disappointed. He really knows how to make a woman look and feel beautiful. Season after season, he only gets better!
